What does Haskell for Mac do?

Haskell for Mac is an integrated programming environment (IDE) for the functional programming language Haskell. It is ideally suited to learn functional programming, the programming paradigm underpinning many of the inventions in Apple’s new Swift language and Facebook’s React framework. Haskell for Mac is easy to install and use, and we provide a Haskell tutorial including screencasts to get beginners started.

The most distinguishing feature of Haskell for Mac are Haskell playgrounds. Playgrounds are a live programming environment, where program code is checked and executed instantly on entering or changing that program code. The results of program execution, whether they are text, graphics, entire web pages, or animations, can be expected right away from within the playground. This rapid feedback makes programming fun and accelerates learning.
